Call for Papers
We welcome submissions to the 6th International Conference on Social Computing (ICSC 2025) which will convene
in person at Fudan University, Shanghai, China during Dec. 12 – Dec. 13, 2025.
Its single-track program brings together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to advance and critically assess the theory,
systems engineering, and societal consequences of social computing.
A selection of outstanding papers will be fast-tracked to the
ACM Transactions on Social Computing
or the
Journal of Social Computing.
The conference proceedings and the above journals are all indexed by Ei Compendex.
Best Paper and Best Student Paper awards will be presented at the conference banquet.
We invite original, unpublished research on all aspects of social computing, including but not limited to the following:
- Advancements in methods for the broadly defined field of social computing
- Online social network analysis, mining, and modeling
- Large-scale social media analytics and intelligence
- Trust, privacy, security, and fairness in social systems
- Human-computer interaction across various domains
- Applied social computing applications in diverse areas such as health and finance
- Governance, policy, ethical, and legal challenges of emergent social technologies

Authors are encouraged to submit papers addressing state-of-the-art research and development in all aspects of social computing. Innovative, early-stage ideas, proofs-of-concept, and preliminary results are all welcome. Submissions must be at most 12 pages (Springer CCIS format). The first page must contain a title, abstract, and the name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s).
Each submission will receive at least three independent, blind peer reviews from the program committee. At least one of the authors of every accepted paper must register and present the paper at the conference. Accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings published by Springer CCIS. Please prepare manuscripts using the Springer CCIS format: LaTeX template and Word template.
